He’s now an archivist at the University of Maryland. His paper covered the efforts to recall Durham mayor Wib Gulley, in 1986, for signing a proclamation in support of gay rights. ▪ Jim Baxter, 67, was the publisher of the statewide, gay community newspaper, The Front Page. ▪ Allan Troxler, a 74-year-old artist and writer, designed fliers, posters and buttons for the “Our Day Out” march.
